🎤 Weekly Chart Commentary – November 8, 2025
The Hot 100 top remains the same, and this is a testament to how well Taylor Swift’s recent streak is going at the current time. “The Fate of Ophelia” spends its fourth consecutive week at number one due to the largest gain in digital sales among tracks this week and the type of well-rounded stability that tends to take home titles in close contests.
It is not merely album-week front-loading. While streaming is sustainable and radio is closing the gap quickly, it is no surprise. The headline is simple. America’s biggest song is still Taylor’s. But close on her heels is “Golden” by HUNTR X with EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI. It hangs tough at number two with the largest airplay gain of the week.
This indicates that programmers have completely embraced it at this point following its summer streaming explosion. Rounding out the Hot 100 top three is “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. It is now 38 weeks in and still sounds like it’s current rather than recurrent.
Taylor’s presence at the top tier is still weighing. Opalite stabilizes at number four. Elizabeth Taylor glides to number eight. Both tracks have longer legs than what would be expected for cuts on an album. It’s not the only new face in the top five. It’s a welcome one.
Olivia Dean follows her follow-up with her biggest move yet at number five with “Man I Need.” It’s a gradual gain that dates back to the first week of September. This is just the first instance this week it connects with a palpable increase in all three columns.
Justin Bieber’s “Daisies” slips one place to number six. It still chimes in with stellar figures for the second consecutive frame overall. It debuted high back in July. Kehlani’s “Folded” makes its largest streaming jump to reach number seven this week.
This pairing rarely fails to follow with an additional advancement. It’s one to watch for a top five entry in the next ranking. Morgan Wallen’s “I Got Better” holds at number nine. It spends its twenty-fourth frame on the tally. It’s finally there.
Leon Thomas achieves his first top ten entry with “Mutt” after a gradual rise dating back to February. This is not the product of forty weeks of luck.
The second half of the chart is packed. Taylor’s Father Figure is sticking at eleven. The album group is still there in the teens and 20s. Wi$h Li$t is at fourteen.
The Life Of A Showgirl is at twenty one. Wood is at twenty four. Actually Romantic is at twenty five. None of those is collapsing. This is rare at this stage of the fourth week of the album. This is just the strength of their wide base of support and their memorable hooks.
These meet the needs of hot and hot-hit formats. HUNTR X is still appearing to be a full franchise with How It’s Done at twenty three, What It Sounds Like at thirty, and Takedown at thirty six. This is continued multi-single action. Not one-off action.
Country is a consistent presence in the top middle. A former number one in Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae’s What I Want is back at number fifteen.
It still gets streams like a hit even if radio is playing current singles. A new peak at number twenty-two is from Luke Combs with Back In The Saddle. This indicates that the more traditional-sounding element of the track is working.
A new high at number forty-five is from Riley Green and Ella Langley with Don’t Mind If I Do. A closer look at the peak at number forty-nine is Lainey Wilson with Somewhere Over Laredo. Parker McCollum gets a new high in the mid-70s with What Kinda Man.
One of the other strong artists at Pop is Sabrina Carpenter. “Tears” climbs back to twenty and is again the friendliest at radio out of her current crop, although “Manchild” at sixteen keeps its regularly occurring like strength despite peaking at number one in June.
“When Did You Get Hot” cools to sixty-two, although “Nobody’s Son” keeps it in the 80s, leaving a large overall impression. As for R & B, the large number of winners is led off again by “Burning Blue,” which stabilizes at thirty-four in week twenty-six.
“Is It A Crime” with Kali Uchis advances to a new high at fifty-three. One of the large headline moves is Kehlani’s “Folded,” although the bigger first impression is that there is a healthy scene out among several artists.
Seasonal charts materialize just in time. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” re-enters at number thirty-two and is sure to rise in the wake of Halloween streaming and novelty plays bleeding over into the week.
“The Citizens of Halloween” reappear at number forty-seven with “This Is Halloween,” which is a yearly tradition at this point. While seasonal charts can wreak a little bit of havoc on the middle of the chart during their peak weeks, neither entry does much of that here.
Among the new entries is Lover Girl at thirty-eight with Megan Thee Stallion. This is the strongest debut of the week. Le Sserafim and J Hope debut at number fifty with Spaghetti. This is another clean debut that could easily develop depending on the popularity it receives with playlisting. Megan Moroney makes her entry at sixty-four with Beautiful Things.
This is destined for crossover action. Meanwhile, another artist named jessie murph also makes her entry at sixty-six with I’m Not There For You. Olivia Dean takes her second position on the charts with A Couple Minutes at eighty-seven. Emmanuell Cortes makes his entry at ninety-six with his quick-hit single titled Amor. This could develop if radio receives it well.
Finally, it is concluded with Hardy at one hundred with Favorite Country Song. This is another low entry with crossover potential. Hip hop is still a mixed bag with Hip hop tracks. Cards gets no love with his Safe entry at fifty six. ErrTime and Outside enter the 90s. YoungBoy Never Broke Again releases two tracks. Shot Callin is steady at forty eight. What You is still in the 70s.
Metro Boomin’s Take Me Thru Dere entry with Quavo and YK NIECE is steady at seventy one. It is still a radio report in the mode. Tyler’s Sugar On My Tongue drops to fifty-eight. It is still a consistent streamer. Pixelated Kisses drops to eighty-five. It still behaves like a typical front-loading track that will correct itself if there is a radio report.
Veterans continue to add texture. Billie Eilish’s Wildflower has been here seventy two weeks and still sits at fifty one, a rare marathon in a playlist era.
Tame Impala’s Dracula backs off to thirty nine after peaking last week, but its alternative footprint remains strong. Coldplay’s Sparks reaches a new peak at seventy four after sixteen chart weeks, a slow motion climb that mirrors the band’s late career radio path. Radiohead’s Let Down continues its unexpected run near the bottom of the chart. It is a curiosity driven by catalog discovery, and it refuses to disappear.
If you are scoreboard watching, the week belongs to three threads. Taylor Swift keeps the crown and shows album depth that has not cracked yet.
HUNTR X proves it is not a one track project by holding multiple singles in healthy zones. Kehlani posts the week’s clearest momentum burst and looks like the next challenger to make noise inside the top five.
Add in a handful of timely re entries and a clean group of debuts, and you have a chart that feels active without feeling chaotic. The year’s biggest players are still in control, but there is room for new voices to elbow in as we head deeper into November.
