🎤 Weekly Chart Commentary – November 1, 2025

Billboard’s Hot 100 chart dated November 1, 2025, numbers The Fate Of Ophelia as the top song for a third consecutive week. However, this is even more significant as The Fate Of Ophelia is labeled as a track with Billboard’s Biggest gain in airplay. In fact, when a song that is leading in airplay continues to raise its gains in airplay in its third chart frame, this is even a more significant indicator. The reason is that this shows that the people have made up their minds. The radio is simply adhering to that choice.

HUNTR X EJAE’s “Golden” follows right behind and is No. 2 after nineteen weeks on the chart. It has already had a number one in August and seems to have a good shot if Taylor undercuts a notch. “Ordinary” by Alex Warren holds steady at number three after thirty-seven weeks on the chart. Such longevity is unusual in a given year that is as hot as this one. When a former number one maintains this level of performance, it is generally a very good sign for all three categories.

However, Taylor’s album wave is still front and center. Opalite holds in the Top 5 at number 4, Elizabeth Taylor is still sitting pretty at number 5, Father Figure holds steady at number 6. Six tracks from this package chart between number 1 and number 20 when one factors in Wi$h Li$sT, The Life Of A Showgirl with Sabrina Carpenter, Wood, Actually Romantic, Cancelled, Eldest Daughter and eventually Honey. Not all tracks can chart upward simultaneously. There is a glimpsed sorting by format here. The Fate Of Ophelia is a resounding radio choice. The group in and around ten through twenty looks like a solid rotation of album cuts that are settling into a more normal level.

The newcomers in this Top 10 are a welcome addition. Justin Bieber blasts back in to No. 7 with Daisies after entering as high as No. 2 in July. So much for that charting tailing off: it looks like radio is simply late to the streaming party. Olivia Dean enters in to a first Top 20 [corrected to Top 10 above] with Man I Need to conclude its first chart as No. 8 with one of this week’s strongest chart increases and a reminder that its United States legacy is no longer one of a hot-and-busted fire that eventually left a slow-burning ember. I Got Better is back in to Top 20 territory as it enters in to its thirty-second frame within the Top 20 as a Top 9 hit for Morgan Wallen. Leon Thomas gains a new high position as his Mutt enters in to its thirty-eightth chart as a Top 20 hit to reach its peak.

After that Top 10 level activity, Kehlani’s Folded enters a new peak position at No. 14. That kind of rise from a lower twenties level often indicates when a song enters more widespread play. Chris Brown’s It Depends with Bryson Tiller climbs to No. 16. That looks like a BO status-indicator that this song is indeed making its escape through a waiting game. sombr’s Back To Friends peaks a new level at No. 18 in its thirty weeks out. That’s a classic virally-enabled to radio hit. Sabrina Carpenter is looking like a steady pure pop star this year with three more titles in play. Manchild is No. 25 while Tears is No. 27 and When Did You Get Hot peaks at No. 45. The strength is in the density as all titles promote each other without robbing one to cross-promote others.

Country is a busy week. Ella Langley’s debut album Choosin’ Texas enters as Highest Debut at #39. That is a solid debut and shows a level of interest in this genre that is beyond its foundation level. Luke Combs gains a new peak with Back In The Saddle at #32. That is a steady level of growth that reflects his power on the airwaves. The country genre has some more activity as Wallen enters again with Graveyard Whistling at #49 and holds I Got Better at #9 and What I Want at #21. The genre also has a steady performer in Wilson and Somewhere Over Laredo is #52 and is sixteen weeks in. Aldean returns to #90 for How Far Does a Goodbye Go. That often indicates a new marketing push has made this song current again.

Alt and indie add some variation this week. Tame Impala is in a moment with Dracula entering at No. 33 and follow-up single “My Old Ways” entering as well, at No. 56. The follow-up to that song begins its chart life as “The Loser” enters as a No. 91 song. So that is three different charting titles. That speaks volumes for activity in a true album release cycle. Joji holds the Biggest gainer in streaming volume for “Pixelated Kisses,” which enters as a No. 38 song in only its second appearance on chart after beginning in No. 90. The song peaked this soon if a song is as catchy as “Pixelated Kisses” when streaming.

Radiohead has a “Let Down” in “Let Down,” which has remained deep in its No. 93 spot in its admittedly long ninth charting appearance. That is a yet-to-peak song that has people talking.

Dance and electronic tracks ensure that club life remains in full effect. Disco Lines and Tinashe continue to chart at No. 42 with No Broke Boys’ presence steady through the end of summer and into fall. Diplo and Trippie Redd reach No. 79 with “Wish,” a very gradual ascension that looks increasingly like regional building. “The Dead Dance” is at No. 60 after its peak of No. 40. That sounds like a point in between.

K-pop and worldwide pop remain steady. Twice keeps Strategy charting with a rank of No. 69, while its subgroup project Takedown from members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung holds steady at No. 74. KATSEYE represents a high point for Gabriela in ranking No. 40 and is back with new music in Gnarly at No. 97. Overall, artists like these remind us that large worldwide support can power through multiple track offerings even beyond debut performances. R&B is steady and very strong. Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not” is still a textbook example of building a song over thirty weeks to reach its peak position of No. 5 with a current chart position of No. 24. Mariah the Scientist is staying in sight with “Burning Blue” at No. 37 and collaborates with Kali Uchis for “Is It a Crime” at No. 58. However, Billie Eilish continues to defy logic with “Wildflower” spending its seventieth first week in the top fifty with a chart position of No. 47. There are some important digital chart tales below the Top 70 as well. The Subway by Chappell Roan gains The Biggest in digital sales note to rank No. 68. The love for this group has not evaporated with streaming as its popularity makes its members’ music find The Biggest in digital sales note success. RAYE climbs to a new position No. 67 with “Where Is My Husband.” “If there is a common theme this week, it is balance. Championship album presence atop the chart, a former number one that shows no signs of relinquishing its hold in the number two slot and a steady pop presence in number three. The country side brings some new blood in Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen. The left field fun is brought to you this week through Tame Impala and Joji.”

There is a balance in this current chart formation. There is a champion album presence in the number one slot. Then a former champion that refuses to relinquish its position in number two. Then a steady pop presence in number three. The country genre offers some new blood in Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen. The left field action is brought to you through Tame Impala and Joji. Overall, you can observe that radio has challenged its comeback for this current number one chart topper. Then there is streaming as a spark for those artists exhibiting a big Going into November, here are three pitches to watch for. The first is to determine if The Fate Of Ophelia can sustain its airplay enough to stave off Golden and late-breaking holiday contenders that will take their first bites in a few weeks. The second is to determine if Olivia Dean’s Man I Need can crack the top half of the Top 10. The final one is to see if Joji can follow through on its streaming success and have a legitimate multi-format hit. There is enough on this chart to accommodate all of this, and this looks like one of the healthiest charts of the year.
