Drop on Chart: March 8, 2025

This week’s Billboard Hot 100 saw a significant shake-up as several songs dropped off the chart. Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR were hit the hardest, with multiple collaborations falling out after just one week. Tracks like Crying In Chanel (#37), Brian Steel (#47), and Lasers (#60) failed to maintain momentum, along with other team-ups such as Meet Your Padre (#63), Celibacy (#66), Greedy (#70), and When He’s Gone (#73). Their presence was strong, but these songs couldn’t hold on for another week.

Sabrina Carpenter also saw two of her recent releases, 15 Minutes (#67) and Bad Reviews (#87), drop out. Despite her strong run with Espresso and other hits, these tracks didn’t perform as well.

Other notable losses include Post Malone and Luke Combs’ Guy For That (#17 peak, 27 weeks on chart), which had an impressive run but finally slipped off. Travis Scott’s 4X4 also exited after peaking at #1 and lasting four weeks, marking the end of its short but impactful stay.

Giveon’s Twenties (#55) and Tyla’s Push 2 Start (#88) also didn’t last long, while Bad Bunny, Omar Courtz & Dei V’s Velda (#23) and Oscar Maydon & Fuerza Regida’s Tu Boda (#22) saw Latin music representation dip slightly this week.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter’s Juno (#22) had a surprising fall despite its promising start. The turnover this week shows how competitive the charts are, and only the strongest hits survive.
